I guess I’m on an elephant kick this week. I couldn’t resist this. It is absolutely amazing. The portrait to the left was created by an elephant.
This incredible elephant artist is not alone in his pursuit of the arts. He is part of a community of elephant artists in India, Thailand and Cambodia. They’re creating beautiful art that is being sold around the world, raising money for their cause and awareness about the desperate situation that the elephants are facing.
Who knew elephants were introspective artists a heart?
Watch the following video to see an elephant artist in action (please be patient, it takes a few minutes to see what he’s creating):
From the AEACP Mission statement:
The Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project (AEACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the diminishing number of Asian elephants left on our planet through its work with domesticated elephants. The AEACP raises funds through donations and the sale of artwork created by elephants in order to fulfill its mission.
If you would like to have a beautiful piece of elephant art in your home and support this wonderful cause, take a look at the AEACP website. Each artist has a distinct style and there are paintings to compliment any decor!
