Wind Power Commercials - the best and most inspiring

I love watching TV on weekend mornings.  Its the only time of the week that I sit back, relax and alternate my attention between my newspaper and the talking heads on the tube.  Television audiences are different this time of the week.  Instead of annoying soda or beer commercials, I actually see alternative energy ads, much to my delight and surprise.  They are clever and thought-provoking (much like the people that view them….)

I’ve pulled together a few of my favorite entertaining wind power commercials.  Smile with me as you consider the genius behind these messages.

The first one is cute and sad at the same time.  After years of disrupting peoples’ lives, Mr. “W” finally finds a job where he will not be so annoying:

This next wind power commercial is beautifully filmed; the music is as uplifting as the message:

If you want a call to action, T. Boone Pickens is your man.  In this commercial, he clearly and succinctly sets forth the reasons for us to invest in wind and solar power to gain energy independence and stop the enormous flow of money to foreign countries for oil:

Finally, I’ll end with a wind power commercial that you’ve probably seen.  Its one of the best, by General Electric.  “Catch the Wind,” by Donovan plays in the background while a young boy fills a jar with air and surprises the guests at a birthday party with the overwhelming force of the wind.
