Animals Save the Planet

On a lighter note this Memorial Day holiday weekend, I discovered some charming videos produced by Discovery Channel’s Animal Planet, called “Animals Save the Planet.”  These animated shorts are cute, funny and also help teach kids about the environment, from conserving water to bicycling instead of driving to your locations.

If your kids are like mine, they will howl with laughter at the farting cow video at the end.  Why is that bathroom humor is so funny, anyway?

Still, it can make one stop and think…. the fewer cows we eat, the less methane emissions there will be.  Perhaps you can use it to spark discussion at your dinner table – or at least before tucking your children into bed.
