Sustainable Bras for Big Green Boobs

Its not often that you hear the terms “seductive” and “sustainable” in the same sentence.  Yet, in the UK, undergarment designers asked women to help design the world’s first sexy, eco-friendly bra last year.

Nicola Alexander of www.daisygreenmagazine.co.uk, which lead the call for a few good green bras, for “big green boobs”, said:

“British women are sick of boring eco-friendly undies. They want a raunchy, frilly bra that makes them feel great and is good for the environment too.”

So what does that look like?  Well, one thing is for certain.  Women don’t want plain, beige cotton bras, no matter how sustainable they are.  And, the eco-bras need to offer support, as well as seduction.  Big breasted women, in particular, are often left out of both the sexy and sustainable categories when it comes to undergarments.

In 2009, the Big Green Boob Survey at Daisy Green Magazine resulted in a team-up with Enamore, which unveiled the “best ever” ethical bra!  The Daisy bra is now being sold in the UK, with some of the proceeds going to charities to help women successfully breastfeed in developing countries.

Each bra is created in the UK – without sweatshops and in lower carbon footprint factories.  They are made from soft, organic cotton and eco-friendly bamboo wool.  Jo Wood, of Jo Wood Organics, enthused:

“I love beautiful lingerie and I love all things organic. I also want to know where my clothes come from. The Daisy bra is made with care. It’s organic, gorgeous and supports charity and boobs! Every girl should have one.”

A pretty bra can be uplifting in more ways than one!
