A few years ago, we published an article regarding the impact of rising gas prices on the use of alternative energy. The blip was short-lived at the time, but now, with resources becoming more scarce and chaos in the Middle East rising, more people are thinking about ways to save at the pump.
Prices for things like gas are dependent on other factors, which makes it all the subject of nail-biting among consumers these days. According to Professor Ted Jacobs of the University of Tulsa’s Energy Management Department:
“When you think about it, the trucking industry, it takes energy to move those trucks. So, from toothpicks to everything, everything that’s transported, is going to see a cost that’s got to be passed on. That can hurt our economy that’s pretty fragile right now.”
Lest you worry that the news about rising gas prices is all bad, there is a silver lining. Encouraging green energy is good for us all, especially when it comes to going energy green. That means that technologies like electric vehicles help everyone save money and more.
So, let’s look for ways to get our vehicles off foreign fuels and onto clean, renewable energy!
