Five Entertaining Environmental Videos

As someone that is concerned about the environment, it pays sometimes to take a step back and laugh (or even cry) at the “green movement.”  Along these lines, I found five entertaining environmental videos that are worth sharing.  With any luck, they may make you think while they drive their point across in creative ways.

Consider this to be “movie afternoon” during a school day!

This Brazilian commercial is short, sweet and to the point.  Trees fall like dominoes, illustrating the ripple effect of our individual actions, worldwide:

Next up, I’m still laughing at this classic clip of Jim Carrey from the television show, In Living Color.  Sure, “Environmental Guy” is extreme…. have you ever known anyone like him?  Are you his twin?

When I first say this next video, I had no idea what the environmental message would be.  No… I’m not going to give it away.  Just watch.  Maybe cringe too.

OK, so this clip is on the strange side, and reminds me in a twisted way of The Giving Tree.  Still, I give kudos to the high school students who wrote, directed and filmed it.  In honor of Earth Day, please laugh along with the “Funny Pro-Earth Commercial”:

Farting cows.  We already determined that that’s hilarious.  Even better than the cartoon version shown on Animals Save the Planet are real live cows, passing real live gas.

Of course, there are serious messages in each of these videos, but the manner of conveying the “punch line,” if you will, can help more people take notice.  Sometimes all the doom and gloom can be overwhelming, without a touch of humor thrown in.
