EV Awareness Day in Portland Oregon
Electric cars — By Stephanie on July 3, 2010 at 5:58 amThanks to a tip from a loyal Peachy Green reader, I’m excited to announce an event right here in my backyard. EV Awareness Day will be held next Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Portland Oregon. Sponsored by the Oregon Electric Vehicle Association, this summer showcase displays a number of electric cars and other vehicles that use 0% fossil fuels (especially great in light of the BP Oil Spill). In addition, you can get information and learn more about the benefits of Electric Vehicles (EVs).
From 9:30-4:30 on Saturday, July 10 at the Pioneer Courthouse Square right downtown Portland Oregon, you can drop into this free, educational event.
Is it any wonder that this gorgeous city in the green, Pacific Northwest is host to the annual EV Awareness Day? This is especially considering the fact that Portland is a leader in plug-in electric vehicles, nationwide.
The OVEA is a non-profit organization dedicated to electric vehicle enthusiasts and advancing an oil-free, gas-free future!
